Samsung Shows Fuel Cell Laptop


n early June, Toshiba showcased their fuel cell notebook dock that could run a protégé notebook for 8 hours. In October they showed their revised version with a much smaller footprint confined within the laptop.
Samsung is taking it a step further by showcasing their Direct Methanol Fuel Cell (DMFC) dock that can power a Q35 ultraportable notebook for 8 hours a day for a full month. According to Samsung, the fuel cell has an energy density of 650Wh/L and total energy storage of 1,200Wh.

Similarly Nokia also plans to introduce fuel cell-powered mobile phones in the years to come.
