Boeing 787 New Carbon Fiber Wings Are Ultra Flexible
Boeing is scrapping metal wings for lighter more flexible wings made from carbon fiber for the new 787 Dreamliner. The new ‘flappy wings’ are so flexible and tough that they might be able to bend upward and touch above the plane’s fuselage.
