Philips Unveils 1 TB External HDD
Philips which is better known for its TVs and high-end audio equipment has just introduced a new external hard drive, the SPD5130, at Computex 07, that offers 1TB of storage capacity and is built on the eSATA interface. The drive according to Philips’s website will include a thick aluminum shock-proof case, 32 MB buffer for speedy performance, 1 touch backup functionality and a heat control system.
The drive is now shipping and is available for a cost US$ 499.
